Adult Classes
These classes are available for people aged 18 years and above.
18 years +
We have many classes available for adults in subjects ranging from freestyle to pure Latin (salsa) and from Ballroom to Tap! Our classes are based on having fun as well as keeping fit. so whether you want six lessons to get you around the floor at a wedding or to fulfill a childhood ambition to tap dance, we can accommodate you!
Children's Classes
We try to keep our class at a reasonable size and where the class is large; more than one instructor would normally be present. Examinations can be taken in all subjects. We follow the N.C.D.T.A and I.D.T.A. examination boards.
Infants Ages 5 - 8
From the ages of five to eight we offer half hourly classes in Ballet, Tap, Stage, Disco, Ballroom, Latin American, Classic Sequence, Performing Arts and Drama. These classes are based on the syllabi of the Northern Counties Dance Teachers Association, with the view to the children entering exams in their chosen subject if they wish to do so.
Junior / Seniors Ages 9 - 17
Similarly to the under nine classes, we offer classes in all subjects based on the syllabus of the Northern Counties Dance Teachers Association and the Disco, Ballroom, Latin American, Classic Sequence classes follow the International Dance Teachers Association syllabus. Examinations in all subjects can be taken if desired.
Nursery Class - Ages 2 - 5
Nursery class is a specially designed programme for boys and girls aged two to five years old. Nursery 1 is aimed towards 2 - 4 year olds and includes a variety of dance movements in the form of play! It develops balance, co-ordination and encourages children to mix with others their age. Ages 4 - 5 years would take part in Nursery 2. This is the natural progression from Nursery 1, with the class becoming more structured and disciplined. Although it is still a relaxed and fun atmosphere, correct technique, poise and balance begin to be developed.
