Pupils Perform with local residents @ Older Peoples Day
BRINGING PEOPLE TOGETHER - THE GATE, NEWCASTLE
A small group of pupils from the Dance Centre were delighted to be performing with a group of residents from the 'Your Homes Newcastle' project.

The event was entitled BRINGING PEOPLE TOGETHER, and was an opportunity to dispel stereotypes of the young, the old and those with mental health issues.
The event held at the Gate Newcastle was performance time for the 10 residence and 6 young dancers who had worked at the Dance Centre on their four dance routines. Two from the youngster’s era and two of the older people’s choice.
Hip Hop, Bollywood, The Twist and Rock n Roll were the styles on show.
Everyone at Newcastle Dance Centre has thoroughly enjoyed this whole process and can’t wait to work with these amazing residents again!!
