Along with the amazing team of teachers and students, the dance centre is led by our Principal, Hayley Conway Turnbull, who is the third generation of the founding family.  It was established in 1931 and today is still a thriving family business.

We take great pride in our ‘family’ feel and sense of community and refer to ourselves as the ‘NDC  Family’. We focus specifically on creating a professional environment in which pupils can excel whilst being nurtured and inspired. 

The well-being of all pupils, both physically and mentally, is paramount in our minds and our pastoral care is of the highest standard.   Our aim is for every pupil to reach their true potential, surrounded by positivity and creativity! 

So, whether you are a beginner, an accomplished professional or just seeking extra enjoyment or exercise from dance, Newcastle Dance Centre is ready to welcome you. Pupils can enrol from walking (with an adult) up to adults of all ages and abilities. 

Our team has decades of experience in teaching beginners, experienced dancers, professional performers and training for professional teaching qualifications. We have great success in training dancers to enter the world of dance and gain places at their chosen dance colleges or universities.
